District 43

The 43rd Legislative District is located mostly within Will County. Major population centers include Joliet, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Woodridge, and Lockport.

Other communities include Channahon, Shorewood, Naperville, Preston Heights, Fairmont, Manhattan, Braidwood, Wilmington, Elwood and Rockdale.

Major employers in district communities include Argonne National Laboratory and employers from the following sectors:

Manufacturing: Lion Electric, Caterpillar's earthmoving equipment factory

Warehousing: Amazon, IKEA, and several others

Energy Sector: NRG, Citgo, Commonwealth Edison, Nuclear Plants

HealthCare: Amita St Joes, Silver Cross, Advent, and Edwards Hospital

Universities: Saint Francis, Lewis University, WCC, and JCC

Entertainment: Harrah's casino, local museums, local restaurants, and the Heritage Corridor Visitors Bureau .
